Captain Scott Burgess (Skinny Situation Charters)

Captain Scott Burgess (Skinny Situation Charters)

A full-time professional Hell's Bay Guide, Captain Scott Burgess specializes in fly and light tackle sight fishing on the Forgotten Coast, with an emphasis on the St. Marks, Shell Point and Panacea areas. Operating a 18' Hell’s Bay Waterman tunnel hull and an 18' Hell's Bay Marquesa, he has memorized the shallow flats, shoals, oyster beds and rocky backcountry waters south of Tallahassee and uses his expert knowledge to guide both experienced and novice anglers. Always on the push pole and with his head on a constant swivel, Captain Burgess has mastered the art of spotting fish and positioning clients for the ideal cast and hook-up.

Depending on time of year, anglers can be poled through skinny water in search of tailing redfish, sight cast monster bull reds or lay-out flies in front of big Tarpon in shallow water. In addition to redfish and tarpon, other target species include trout, triple tail, cobia, flounder and more.
